MONSTR Sense Technologies Releases the KRAKEN Turnkey Ultrafast Microscope
Ultrafast for Imaging Company Launches System to Enable Researchers to Perform Advanced Materials Analysis
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES, September 24, 2024 – MONSTR Sense Technologies, LLC, a leader in ultrafast spectroscopy and imaging technology, announced the launch of the KRAKEN Turnkey Ultrafast Microscope product. The KRAKEN is a first-of-its-kind Ultrafast Imaging Microscope System designed for rapid and automated acquisition of hyperspectral, hypertemporal, and volumetric images.
The KRAKEN is turnkey– designed to automatically tune the wavelength of ultrafast pulses without any setup realignment – a few keystrokes and everything is operational. The KRAKEN features a high degree of automation of measurements, including wavelength tuning, decay time delays, and focus depth. User operation involves setting the parameters, pushing start, and getting results. The KRAKEN is fast for optimized ultrafast images in seconds. Hyperspectral, hypertemporal, or volumetric images in mere minutes. Full transient absorption images in less than an hour.
Ultrafast imaging is a nonlinear imaging technique, relying on the nonlinear interactions of pump and probe pulses in materials of interest. Signals due to nonlinear optical processes are primarily emitted at the laser focus where the light is most intense. Ultrafast imaging is, therefore, naturally capable of volumetric imaging, with micron axial resolution, even deep within bulk materials.
“As our business continues to grow and our focus turns more to solving complex semiconductor and materials analysis challenges, we recognized the importance of focusing our companies products on Ultrafast for Imaging, with an emphasis on end-to-end systems, such as the KRAKEN,” Eric Martin, President and Co-founder, stated. “As our flagship product, the KRAKEN represents many years of development, including investment from the National Science Foundation, as we dedicate our efforts to being an Ultrafast for Imaging technology company seeking to address unmet customer needs.”
